BACHELOR OF COMPUTER APPLICATION


Objectives
To learn about various development tools involved in creating application software, to inculcate various methodologies in automation. The objective of this course is to prepare computer professionals who can be directly employed and to train students to a level where they can readily compete for seats for advanced degree courses like M.Sc.(IT / CS), MCA etc. The course has been designed keeping in mind the desirable characteristics of a competent computer professional.
The BCA course introduces every student to the practical aspects of software development keeping in mind the needs and requirement of the clients, thereby these graduates have ample scope in the customer support department in making the software more viable and easier for the clients to use.

Duration        3 Years ( 6 Semester)

This degree course is of three years duration, which is divided into six semesters. The course follows Semester pattern for examination. The University reserves the right to update or change the syllabus at any time as and when needed, so as to keep up most updated syllabus.

Eligibility       12th(In any discipline)

For being Eligible for admission in the course of BCA, a candidate must be 12th Pass or equivalent. As the seats are limited, admission is offered on the basis of interview. BCA students are eligible to get admission in M.Sc. (IT / CS) / MCA etc. As per present norms of MCA courses of most of the Universities, the eligibility of admission is graduation with maths as compulsory or additional subject at 10+2 level. Hence if it remains same the students without maths at 10+2 level may not be eligible for MCA. If they pass in mathematics as additional paper of 12th during BCA, they are also eligible for MCA.

Enrollment
For BCA it is necessary to enroll as a regular student of this University after the presentation of previous Transfer Certificate (T.C.) for admission confirmation.A Student of BCA is not allowed to join any other regular course of any University.
10 + 2 + BCA / B.Sc.(IT) = Graduate
